Trolley Graveyard Photography Workshop
Situated on a little over two acres, there are dozens of trolleys and train cars from PA, MA, KS, and more in various states of decomposition to photograph including some very old specimens. Over the years vandalism and decay have taken their toll, but the location is still quite beautiful. It's full of terrific opportunities not only for wider angle shots of the cars but it's also a wonderful place for macro and texture shots and infrared. Participants will also have access to an otherwise locked storage area with very well preserved relics including a car from 1912 and will get to meet the owner, who can tell them about the history of the site itself and the cars on the property. As the property is for sale, the opportunities to visit in the future may be limited.
There are two separate sessions available - a daytime session better suited for those learning their equipment or just looking to explore, and a night photo session where we will light paint the cars either in small groups or individually. While some degree of experience with camera settings and working with night photography is encouraged, I'm happy to help if this is new to you. If you sign up for both you will receive a discount and be able to stay during the period in between workshops.
* PLEASE NOTE MASKS ARE MANDATORY ON PROPERTY WHEN NOT AT ONE'S CAR *
If you have questions or are thinking about signing up, please read the Workshop FAQ Page! Send me a note at email@example.com if you need to know anything else about how workshops run. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring a dSLR or mirrorless camera and tripod to the workshop - all are welcome but point & shoot cameras may be inadequate to photograph the space.
